WHY I FOCUS ON SPORTS LAW
I enjoy working with sports clients because I appreciate people that are at the top of their game. I have an immense respect for individuals willing to hone their skills and focus their energies to be the very best in their league. Mayfield v. NASCAR
We won a motion for judgment on the pleadings dismissing all claims against NASCAR, in litigation in North Carolina federal court. The dismissal was affirmed by the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Kentucky Speedway v. NASCAR
We secured a summary judgment victory in an antitrust litigation filed in Kentucky federal court. The judgment was affirmed by the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals.
New York Yankees v. Cablevision
We represented Yankees Entertainment and Sports Network, antitrust litigation filed in New York federal court against Cablevision, Time Warner Cable, and other satellite and cable carriers regarding carriage rights and terms. Following arbitration, the case settled favorably for the clients.
